“My Start in IT”: Connecting Students with Leading Software Companies

Plovdiv University recently hosted its second “My Start in IT” event. It aimed to bridge the gap between students and leading software companies operating in Bulgaria, fostering direct communication and providing valuable insights into intern opportunities.

It was a great pleasure for me, being part of the event and presenting one of the International companies to you – the students.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the students for their active involvement and unwavering support. The event would not have been possible without your enthusiasm and genuine interest in expanding your horizons in the IT field.

Your dedication to learning and your pursuit of excellence serve as an inspiration for future events, encouraging the university, lectors and companies to continue organising such valuable initiatives.

Connecting Students with Leading Software Companies:

“My Start in IT” brought together a diverse range of software companies, all eager to engage with the university’s talented students. Through interactive sessions, recruitment stands, and presentations, students had the unique opportunity to interact directly with professionals from these companies. This direct communication allowed the students to gain firsthand insights into the industry, the work culture, and the skills required to thrive in the IT field.

Exploring Internship Opportunities:

One of the highlights of the event was the focus on intern opportunities. Students were provided with comprehensive information about internship programs available at the participating companies. The event facilitated a direct exchange of ideas, enabling students to discuss their interests, goals, and aspirations with representatives from the companies. This interaction not only provided valuable guidance but also helped students understand the various career paths and possibilities within the software industry.
